How To Throw a Football Party With Propane
It’s football season ya’ll and as the games roll out, so do the football parties and get togethers. Nothing is better than friends, family, football and BBQ, but there are a few golden rules to follow when attempting to throw the perfect football extravaganza. Let Griffis Gas lead the way with propane in hand to save the day- follow these four steps to learn how to throw a football party with propane.
Get your grill prepared
The weather is getting cooler and baby, the grill is getting warmer. Football season calls for steaks, burgers, ribs, chicken and kielbasa, so it’s important to make sure your grill is in tip-top condition to serve up that finger lickin’ goodness. Check the gas connections and fill the old gal up. Take your propane tanks to your local ACE Hardware and they’ll set you up with a full tank and make sure you have all the equipment you need to grill like a king or queen.
Call forth your brethren
That is, alert the troops, sound the alarm, invite your guests! You’re throwing a party! Don’t wait until the last minute to invite friends and family. Get the humble abode into party mode by adjusting or moving the television(s) where every guest can easily view the game. Set up tables and chairs and break out extra garbage bags. Don’t forget to stock up on beverages, especially water, and set up coolers with ice.
What’s on the menu?
You know your propane grill is raring to go, so plan a menu where everyone can be involved: watching the game together while the delectable aroma of sizzling steak permeates the air, cans of beer are cracked and many laughs are had. Let guests bring dishes as well, to help cover sides, appetizers and desserts. It makes for one delicious party menu for all to share. Don’t forget different seasonings and sauces, all laid out along with cutlery, plates and napkins.
Safety First
When dealing with fire and hot surfaces while grilling, safety needs to be the priority. Make sure the lid is open before igniting the burners, and stabilize your grill on solid ground, well away from flying footballs and children. Always keep a fire extinguisher on hand, just in case. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the football season!
